Nunchaku

Nunchaku are arguably the most famous of all martial weapons due to the huge exposure given in the 1970's Bruce Lee period. However, it should be noted that there is a difference between the Chinese and Japanese use of the weapon.

Nunchaku are places into the category of articulated club. The advantage gained by the articulation is enormous speed and power.

The popular version of the weapon is more strictly known as Ni-Kon (two rods) in contrast to the lesser known 3 rod version called a San-Kon.

Kata using the Ni-Kon are very limited, with most of the practitioners time spent developing good technique and distance.
